Former MD of Visa UK & Ireland and Director of Innovation at Goldsmiths join Red Badger advisory board

Kevin Jenkins, former MD of Visa UK and Ireland, and Dr Chris Brauer, Director of Innovation at Goldsmiths, University of London, have joined the advisory board of digital consultancy, Red Badger.

The appointments come as Red Badger continues its rapid growth, following our recent rankings on the Financial Times’ FT Future 100 and The Top 100 Digital Agencies Report by Econsultancy, marking us as one of the fastest growing digital businesses in the UK.

With over 30 years in the financial and professional services sectors, Kevin Jenkins brings a successful track record across operational and commercial skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. Within his role as Managing Director Visa UK and Ireland, Jenkins grew the revenues of the business to over £1 billion, alongside running a complex end-to-end payments ecosystem with banking and payments providers. Following his departure from Visa, he has been advising a number of disruptive fin-tech and payment businesses, including taking a non-executive role at Nuggets, a consumer blockchain platform.

Dr Chris Brauer is Director of Innovation in the Institute of Management Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dr Brauer has keen insight into the disruptive and fast-paced world of innovation across sectors, with his primary teaching and research interests including management studies, innovation, and the intersections of technologies and craft. Alongside other roles, Dr Brauer is also the Managing Director of Smoothmedia, the founder of the Centre for Creative and Social Technologies, and holds numerous non-executive and Chairman roles within UK organisations.

Cain Ullah, CEO of Red Badger, comments on the new appointments:

In eight years, Red Badger has grown from strength to strength, and we know that we are a credible alternative to Tier 1 consultancies and having an advisory board will help us articulate our services to bring innovation to a wider reach of clients. Kevin and Chris were perfect fits for this need. Both their respective experience and wealth of knowledge will help us continue a sustainable form of growth, highlighting our work to new industries and elevating our innovation capabilities. It’s a testament to Red Badger’s work that these two will be joining us and bringing our mission to even more organisations.

Upon his appointment to the Red Badger advisory board, Kevin Jenkins comments:

Regardless of industry, from finance to retail, businesses are facing the currents of change. With a continuous wave of new, innovative technologies, many companies frequently face new disruptions to their models and ways of working. Red Badger impressed me right from our very first meeting, their understanding of this disruption and the changes around the corner was palpable even then. Not only do they work smarter and more progressively than their larger peers but they also provide a transformative and lasting change for their clients, something that is invaluable in this disruptive age.

Dr Chris Brauer comments:

Red Badger specialises in navigating the path from ideas to execution across industries and subject-matter domains. Their ability to activate the resources, skills, and processes necessary to create, innovate, and deliver digital solutions is unique and invaluable and it is tremendously exciting to get involved and support them in their ambition and goals. It is also a pleasure to work with an organisation that understands and takes seriously both the opportunities and the responsibilities of activating meaningful and sustainable change in organisations. They challenge themselves and their clients to never accept passable results but to always pursue excellence and purpose through technological and cultural change.

Kevin Jenkins and Dr Chris Brauer have taken their positions on Red Badger’s Advisory Board this month.
